The “Product Detective Contest” organized by the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Commerce for basic education students to raise awareness about product safety has been concluded.
The 12 students who ranked, received their awards at the ceremony in Ankara on Monday, 25 November 2019.
Basic education students from 76 provinces participated in the painting, poster and slogan competition held within the scope of ‘Raising Awareness in the fields of Product Safety, Market Surveillance and Conformity Assessment Project ‘ which is jointly financed by The European Union and The Republic of Turkey.
At the award ceremony students awards presented to them by, Deputy Minister of Commerce Sezai Uçarmak, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology hasan Büyükdede and Vice-President of the European Union Delegation to Turkey Eleftheria Pertzinidou with General Manager of Product Safety and Inspection, Ministry of Trade Hakkı Karabörklü.
The award-winning students and their schools are as follows:
In Basic Education 7th and 8th grades, in the ‘Painting’ category; Ece Altın (Antalya Kocademir Ortaokulu), Gönül Şahin (Kahramanmaraş Serhan Çalık Ortaokulu), Ömer Zorlu (Mardin Cumhuriyet Ortaokulu).
Basic Education in the ‘Painting’ category in 5th and 6th grades ;
Ayşe Nur Nakış (Antalya Mehmet Akif Ersoy Ortaokulu), Tamara Khalid (Çankırı Karatekin Ortaokulu), Ezel Boyuneğmez (Tekirdağ Çorlu Ortaokulu).
In Basic Education 7th and 8th grades, in the category of ‘Poster and Banner’;
Ceylin Çağlar (Antalya – Kocademir Ortaokulu), Nalan Cemre Öztürk (Sakarya Üzeyir Garih Ortaokulu), Ezgi Nur Arı (Balıkesir Saraylar Ortaokulu).
In the ‘Poster and Banner’ category in the 5th and 6th grades of Basic Education;
Taylan Örs (Konya Ahmet Haşhaş Ortaokulu), Özlem Bilgin (Samsun Atatürk Ortaokulu), Şeyma Yağmur Bağcı (Eskişehir Kardeşler Ortaokulu).
As a result of the competition, 12 students who ranked in the top were given laptop computers and 134 students, who were the winners of their province, were presented with school bag sets. In addition, the top ranked students made a two-day Ankara trip accompanied by two of their family members and guide teachers.
